Meet The Team

Susan N. Adams, MBA, CSSGB

Susan founded Cargill Aeronautical in March 2012 after obtaining her Private Pilot License. She is also the founder of Naylor-Adams & Associates, a mangement consulting firm specializing in healthcare and general aviation. She has over 25 years of executive management experience in finance, business development, operations and information management in non-profit and for-profit settings. She graduated from Elizabethtown College with a BS in Accounting and from Saint Joseph's University with an MBA in Corporate Finance. In 2014, Susan particpated in the Women's Air Race Classic, flying from New Cumberland, PA to Concord, CA and back.

Pamela Buxton

Pam has been with Cargill Aeronautical since 2019 when she assumed the role of Customer Service Representative. Since that time, she has held numerous positions. In 2020, she was promoted to Office Manger of the Flight School and Testing Center. In 2022, she became the Accounting Manager. In 2025, she was promoted to Administrative Director, providing operational oversight to Cargill Aeronautical Academy and Cargill Service Center.

Leslie A. Naylor, MSW

Leslie is a licensed Therapist. She obtained her BS degree in Social Work from Elizabethtown College and a MSW from Temple University. After retiring from Ephrata Hospital as the Clinical Director of the Psychiatric Unit, she was hired by Cargill Aeronautical as a proctor. In 2022, she was promoted to Office Manager of the Flight School and Testing Center. She currently works remotely enrolling students. ​

Shawn T. Williams, A&P/IA

Shawn is a  graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics (PIA), He as worked in General Aviation professionally as an A&P Technician for three years. However, prior to obtaining his A&P License, he worked for many years in his father's aircraft maintenance shop as an apprentice. He has worked on Piper, Cessna, Cirrus, Beechcraft, Mooney, Diamond, Rockwell, Taylor Crafts and other aircraft, just to name a few.

Allexander D. Ellerbee, CFI, CFI-I

Alex enrolled in Cargill's Youth Professional Pilot Program in the Fall of 2022 and  completed his commercial training in May 2023. He became a CFI in May 2024.  Alex also graduated from Penn State University-York Campus in May 2024 with a Degree in Business Adiministration.​

Carson Smith, CFI, CFI-I

Carson is a 2014 graduate of Penn State University, earning a BA Degree in International Politics. That same year Carson commissioned as an officer in the United States Marine Corps. Following military service, Carson spent 4 1/2 years in fulfillment operations management working for Chewy.  Carson later obtained his pilot certificates and ratings in North Carolina. He joined Cargill Aeronautical in May 2025.

Frederick Parow, CFI, CFI-I, MEI, A&P

Fred has been with Cargill Aeronautical as a flight instructor since its inception in 2012. In addition to flight training, he provides overflow capacity to the service center in times of high volume. He works full-time as an aircraft technician for Federal Express at Harrisburg International Airport. In 2025, Fred was approved as a Designated Pilot Examiner by the FAA.​

John Rider, A&P/IA

Jon began his career in aircraft maintenance in the U.S. Air Force where he was trained as an aircraft maintenance technician working on C-130 and H-53 aircraft. After the Air Force, Jon acquired his A&P license while working as a Line Service Technician at Clark Aviation. He obtained his Inspection Authorization (IA) in 1995 and a private pilot certificate in 2010.

Emmitt Hopkins

Emmitt is a native of York City.  He recently completed his 30-month A&P Apprenticeship at Cargill Service Center in May 2025. He is studying for his licenses.  He has a background in welding, mechanics and computer refurbishing. ​
